Notes

'South Africa' rose (Rosa 'South Africa') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry, loamy or clay soil. It bears fragrant, golden-yellow blooms in late spring, summer, and autumn. Bees visit the flowers. W. Kordes & Sons bred it, and it grows up to 59 inches tall.

Pairs well with Becky Shasta daisy, Star of persia, and Autumn moor grass.
