Notes

'Spider' coneflower (Echinacea 'Spider') is a perennial for containers, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, and the front of borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. The petals turn upward into a spidery shape around fragrant, dark cones. Magenta flowers bloom from early summer to frost and attract bees. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Blue grama, Hummelo betony, and Gladiator ornamental onion.
