Notes

Split rock (Pleiospilos bolusii) is a houseplant for containers and rock gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes part sun, average moisture, and sandy or loamy soil. It forms a slow, clumping mound of brown, gray, and green leaves. Yellow and orange flowers open in summer and again in autumn.

Pairs well with Chinese money plant, Evergold sedge, and Brown Sugar dahlia.
