Notes

Star tickseed (Coreopsis pubescens) is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Yellow flowers with darker yellow centers open in spring, summer, and early autumn. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms. Deer tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Ornamental onion, and Fountain grass.
