Notes

Golden tickseed (Coreopsis tinctoria) is an annual for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Yellow petals surround a reddish-brown center, and bees and butterflies visit the flowers. Deer tend to pass it by. Though considered an annual, it may bloom two to three years.

Pairs well with Indian blanket, Red fescue, and Fireweed.
