'Starfighter' lily (Lilium 'Starfighter') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Fragrant purple flowers open from early to late summer on stems 24 to 36 inches tall. They attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Sande B.V. introduced it in 1990.
Pairs well with Ostfriesland sage, Globe thistle, and Lamb’s ear.
