Notes

Statice (Goniolimon tataricum) is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. White, light blue, pink, or purple flowers open from early to late summer, and butterflies and bees visit the blooms. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Woolly yarrow, and Gladiator ornamental onion.

Northern Africa, western Asia, and southern Europe.
