Notes

Striped cream violet (Viola striata) is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland settings, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun or part shade and average to wet soil of most types. Pale violet and white flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Deer tend to pass it by. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Wild ginger, Lady fern, and Jack in the pulpit.
