Notes

'Sumatra' lily (Lilium 'Sumatra') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Its fragrant, dark purple-red flowers open from early to late summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms. Sande B.V. bred it.

Pairs well with Ostfriesland sage, Globe thistle, and Lamb’s ear.
