Notes

'Summer Sprite' lanceleaf coreopsis (Coreopsis lanceolata 'Summer Sprite') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It forms a clumping mound 9 to 12 inches tall and wide. Yellow blooms with a mahogany ring around the center appear in spring and summer, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit them. Deer tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Prairie Sun rudbeckia, Spotted beebalm, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
