Notes

'Summerwine' yarrow (Achillea 'Summerwine') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It bears burgundy red blooms in summer and again in autumn. The flowers draw butterflies, bees, and birds.

Pairs well with Prairie Sun rudbeckia, Sedge, and Love-in-a-mist.
