Notes
'Sweet Fuchsia' coneflower (Echinacea 'Sweet Fuchsia') is a perennial with magenta blooms. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. Pointy, semi-double petals surround dark brown fragrant cones from early to late summer. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Hummingbirds and bees visit the blooms, and the seeds feed birds in winter.
Pairs well with Blue grama, Gladiator ornamental onion, and Royal fern.
