Notes
Tea viburnum (Viburnum setigerum) is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. It grows slowly into an erect shape and reaches 8 to 12 feet tall. White flowers attract butterflies and birds, and the leaves turn color in fall. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.
Pairs well with Virginia sweetspire, American holly, Autumn fern, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
Native range
Central and western China.
