Notes

'Tornado' rose (Rosa 'Tornado') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, containers, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Reimer Kordes bred it in 1973. The fragrant orange-red blooms appear in late spring, summer, and early autumn, and bees visit them. The bushy plant stays under 30 inches tall.

Pairs well with Shasta daisy, Fountain grass, and Bobo hydrangea.
