Notes
'Toscana' strawberry (Fragaria ananassa 'Toscana') is a fruit for food gardens, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It forms a clumping, evergreen mound that grows 6 to 12 inches tall and 12 to 24 inches wide. Deer tend to pass it by. Bees and birds visit the plant, and it blooms in spring, summer, and autumn.
Pairs well with Genovese basil, Lemon balm, and Bouquet dill.
