Notes
'Tropical Sunset' Lenten rose (Helleborus 'Tropical Sunset') is an evergreen perennial for shade gardens, borders, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. It blooms in late winter and again in spring. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. The plant stays low, so it also works as ground cover.
Pairs well with Lady fern, Western sword fern, and Wood lily.
