Notes

'Valentine' canna (Canna hybrida 'Valentine') is a perennial for borders, containers, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms, which come in summer and again in autumn. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows in a clump about 35 to 47 inches tall.

Pairs well with Montbretia, Red-hot poker, and Coneflower.
