Notes
'Valentine' pummelo (Citrus maxima 'Valentine') is a fruit tree for the food garden. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun. The large fruits have a thick yellow rind and a heart shaped inside of deep pink flesh. The flavor is sweet and low in acid with a tart aftertaste.
Pairs well with Hass avocado, Tuscan Blue rosemary, and Angelonia.
