Notes

'Tahitian' pummelo (Citrus maxima 'Tahitian') is a fruit tree for the food garden. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun. The fruit has a greenish-yellow rind that is less thick than other varieties. The juicy, greenish amber flesh tastes melon-like, and the fruit stores well on the tree.

Pairs well with Hass avocado, Hachiya persimmon, and Creeping fig.
