Notes

'Valerie Harrod' sweet pea (Lathyrus odoratus 'Valerie Harrod') is an annual for borders, containers, and cottage gardens. It shrugs off cool spells and light frost, though a hard freeze will damage it. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. The fragrant flowers draw butterflies and bees. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It can climb to about 6 or 7 feet, so give it a support.

Pairs well with Purity cosmos, Wave Purple petunia, and Charm peony.
