Notes

'Victoria' plum (Prunus domestica 'Victoria') is a tree for the food garden and the pollinator garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It is self-fertile and gives heavy crops of red plums for jam, pies, crumbles, and fresh eating. Leave the plums on the tree until fully ripe for the best flavor. Skip winter pruning, because silverleaf enters through open wounds in the bark.

Pairs well with Common broom, Red-hot poker, and Chardonnay grape.
