Notes
'Violet Knight' sweet alyssum (Lobularia maritima 'Violet Knight') is an annual for borders, containers, rock gardens, and cottage gardens. It shrugs off cool spells and light frost, though a hard freeze will damage it. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It forms a dense, fragrant mat and grows at a moderate pace. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit it, and it is drought tolerant once settled in.
Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Purple Coneflower coneflower, Casa Blanca lily, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
