Notes

'Water Lily' camellia (Camellia williamsii 'Water Lily') is a shrub for borders, containers, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Large, formal, double pink flowers open early, and they fall off on their own, so old blooms do not spoil the display. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Plant it in a protected spot.

Pairs well with Lady fern, White bigleaf hydrangea, and Canadian hemlock.
