Notes

'Whirlwind' anemone (Anemone 'Whirlwind') is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. White flowers open from mid to late summer and keep coming until frost, and bees and butterflies visit them. The stems sway in the breeze above dark green foliage that forms a neat mound. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Monch tartarian aster, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Magnus coneflower.
