Notes

White cypress (Chamaecyparis thyoides) is a tree for specimen planting, hedges, privacy screens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to wet, sandy or loamy soil. The evergreen foliage is fragrant and fans out on slender branches. It is relatively free of serious disease or insect problems. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Inkberry, Switchgrass, and Wild bergamot.
