Notes
Wood fern (Dryopteris remota) is a fern for shade gardens, woodland borders, and foliage contrast. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part to full shade and average moisture. It grows 24 to 30 inches tall and 18 to 24 inches wide. It does not flower, so its fronds carry the show. Rabbits rarely make it their first choice.
Pairs well with Lakeside Paisley Print hosta, Bowman's root, and Interrupted fern.
