Notes

'Brilliance' autumn fern (Dryopteris erythrosora 'Brilliance') is a fern for borders, containers, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to moist soil of most types. New fronds open a bold copper-red, and the plant is evergreen to semi-evergreen depending on how cold your winter gets. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Halcyon hosta, Little brown jug, and Christmas fern.
