Notes
Yellow lady's-slipper orchid (Cypripedium parviflorum) is a perennial for woodland gardens, borders, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun or part shade and average to wet, loamy soil. The fragrant yellow pouch flowers have brownish side petals and attract bees. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It blooms in spring and again in summer.
Pairs well with Red baneberry, Lady fern, and Canadian white violet.
