Notes
'Yuki Snowflake' deutzia (Deutzia 'Yuki Snowflake') is a shrub for borders, hedges, foundation plantings, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Fragrant flowers open in spring and again in summer, and they draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Its low growth, at 12 to 24 inches tall, suits small spaces.
Pairs well with Sweet pepperbush, Culver’s root, Big bluestem, and Ornamental onion.
