Notes
'Magicien' deutzia (Deutzia 'Magicien') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It blooms in spring and again in summer, and the flowers are fragrant. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Hummingbird sweet pepperbush, Mountain witch alder, Lady's mantle, and Purple cranesbill.
