Notes
'Agave' zinnia (Zinnia elegans 'Agave') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It is not cold-hardy and will not survive freezing temperatures. This plant likes full sun and dry to average, loamy soil. Large cactus-flowered blooms come in orange, gold, and pink, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit them. Deer rarely make it their first choice. This fast grower stays 4 to 6 inches tall.
Pairs well with Cosmic Orange cosmos, Goldy Double sunflower, and Red fescue.
