Notes

'Agripinella' Japanese iris (Iris ensata 'Agripinella') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms from early to late summer and draws butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Plant it where the soil stays damp.

Pairs well with Astilbe, Scorpion spotted beebalm, and Cinnamon fern.
