Notes
'Rose Queen' Japanese iris (Iris ensata 'Rose Queen') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and wet soil. It blooms from early to late summer. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Plant it where the soil stays wet, such as the edge of a rain garden.
Pairs well with Red October big bluestem, Kopper King aloalo, and Overdam feather reed grass.
