Notes

'Akita' daffodil (Narcissus 'Akita') is a bulb for borders, containers, cut flowers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The fragrant yellow flowers have a shallow orange cup with a wide, ruffled mouth, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Karel van der Veek bred it.

Pairs well with Curly Fries hosta, Blue fescue, and Christmas fern.
