Notes

'Alba Plena' camellia (Camellia japonica 'Alba Plena') is an evergreen shrub for borders, hedges, containers, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It grows slowly into a columnar shape and tolerates salt. Bees and birds visit the blooms, which open in winter, spring, and autumn.

Pairs well with Carolina jessamine, Bracken, and Cherry laurel.
