Notes

'Bob Hope' camellia (Camellia japonica 'Bob Hope') is an evergreen shrub for borders, hedges, containers, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows slowly into a columnar shape that reaches about 71 to 94 inches tall, and bees and birds visit the blooms in winter and spring. It sits low on the menu for deer. It is also salt tolerant.

Pairs well with White bigleaf hydrangea, Bracken, and Cardinal flower.
