Notes

'Alba' rose (Rosa rugosa 'Alba') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. White fragrant flowers draw butterflies, bees, and birds, and the shrub tolerates drought and salt. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Mauget bred it.

Pairs well with Black chokeberry, Hairy aster, and Musk mallow.
