Notes
'Albostriata' Chinese ground orchid (Bletilla striata 'Albostriata') is a perennial for borders, containers, shade gardens, and woodland settings. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun or part shade and average to moist, loamy soil. It grows 12 to 18 inches tall and bears purple blooms in spring and again in summer. The upright habit and moderate growth rate suit tidy beds.
Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Lady fern, Aureola Japanese forest grass, and Fringed bleeding heart.
