Notes
'Big Bob' Chinese ground orchid (Bletilla striata 'Big Bob') is a perennial for borders, containers, shade gardens, and woodland settings. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and blooms in spring. It can bloom again in summer. The erect plants form a clump that suits a shady corner.
Pairs well with Siebold's hosta, Lenten rose, Siberian bugloss, and Aureola Japanese forest grass.
