Notes
'Alec's Red' rose (Rosa 'Alec's Red') is a shrub for fragrant borders, cutting, and accent planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This upright rose grows about 30 to 39 inches tall and makes medium red blooms against matte, dark green leaves. Alexander M bred it from Fragrant Cloud and Dame de Coeur, and J. Cocker & Sons introduced it in 1971.
Pairs well with Endless Summer hydrangea, Cosmos, and Autumn fern.
