Notes
'Algarve' tulip (Tulipa 'Algarve') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. Its brown-purple flowers open from early to late spring. The stems grow about 20 inches tall, so they work well for bouquets. CPRO bred it.
Pairs well with Thalia daffodil, Cat's Pajamas nepeta, and Little bluestem.
