Notes

'Allegretto' tulip (Tulipa 'Allegretto') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. The brown-red blooms open from early to late spring. Plants stand 12 to 24 inches tall, so they work well in the middle of a bed.

Pairs well with Mount Tacoma tulip, Armenian grape hyacinth, and Delphinium.
