Notes

'Alma' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Alma') is a compact perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It has a Japanese type flower in light pink, with a center of narrow, canary-yellow petaloids. The stems are strong and the foliage is good. It blooms at midseason, and the flowers can be spoiled by extra pink petals in the center.

Pairs well with Cheerfulness daffodil, Royal fern, and Aromatic aster.
