Notes

'Festiva Maxima' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Festiva Maxima') is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The double white flowers have carmine-red streaks and a lovely fragrance. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Strong stems reach about 36 inches tall.

Pairs well with Orange daylily, Monkshood, and Carlton daffodil.
