Notes

'Picture' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Picture') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, creamy pink flowers are rose type and open in mid to late spring and early to mid summer. Myron D. Bigger bred it in 1963. Plants grow 30 to 40 inches tall.

Pairs well with False Solomon's seal, Japanese spirea, Black Hero tulip, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
