Notes

'Alexander Fleming' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Alexander Fleming') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Strong stalks hold large, sweetly scented solferino-rose double flowers in early summer. Blonk bred it from a cross of 'Bunker Hill' and 'Sarah Bernhardt'.

Pairs well with Siberian iris, Japanese spirea, and African Queen lily.
