Notes

'Alpha' gladiolus (Gladiolus 'Alpha') is a bulb for borders and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, loamy soil. It grows about 55 inches tall and bears fragrant violet blooms that bees visit. Tjeerd Dijkstra bred it. You may want to stake the tall stems.

Pairs well with Snapdragon, Fountain grass, and Society garlic.
