Notes

'Espresso' gladiolus (Gladiolus 'Espresso') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. The fragrant flowers open in early to late summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms. The tall stems can reach about 59 inches, so you may want to stake them.

Pairs well with Montbretia, Black-eyed Susan, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Snapdragon.
