Notes

'Black Star' gladiolus (Gladiolus 'Black Star') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It grows about 47 to 59 inches tall and has fragrant blooms. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers, so tall stems may need staking.

Pairs well with Nymph gladiolus, Elvira gladiolus, Robinetta gladiolus, and Montbretia.
