Notes

'Alsace' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Alsace') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers are a rich carmine color, which makes them a bold choice for a bouquet. Cut the blooms for a vase and enjoy them indoors. Kelway bred it.

Pairs well with Queen of Night tulip, Cinnamon fern, and Quick Fire panicle hydrangea.
